NYPD seeks public’s help in identifying suspect in brutal assault on MTA bus driver in the Bronx – Bronx Times
Police are looking for this man who allegedly assaulted an MTA bus driver in the Bronx (NYPD)
The NYPD is calling on the public to help identify a suspect involved in a violent assault on an MTA bus driver in the Bronx.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at approximately 11:20 a.m. near East 226 Street and White Plains Road, within the 47th Precinct.
According to reports, a 34-year-old female MTA bus driver was parked at the location when an unidentified man approached the bus. The suspect boarded the bus, grabbed the driver, and repeatedly slammed her head against the bus partition. After the assault, the individual fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on East 226 Street.
The victim sustained minor injuries in the attack and was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where she was treated and is in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, standing approximately six feet tall. The NYPD has released images of the individual, which can be viewed through the Department’s Crime Stoppers division.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this assault to come forward.
