Man arrested in Staten Island collision that killed one person four years ago

A man was arrested in connection to a Staten Island collision that killed one person and critically injured another four years ago.
According to police, at 6:19 p.m. on Feb. 16, 2021, police responded to a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle collision at Lamberts Lane and Elson Street. A preliminary investigation found that a 2020 Honda Accord was heading northbound on Elson Street when it struck a 2009 Mercedes Benz, which had two people inside, traveling eastbound on Lamberts Lane, at the intersection.
The driver of the Honda Accord fled the scene on foot.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and took the two victims to Richmond University Medical Center. Kauser Akhund, 68, who was in the front seat of the Mercedes Benz, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 70-year-old man who was driving the car was listed in critical condition.
Following an ongoing investigation, police arrested New Jersey resident Prince Nesbitt-Hall, 22, in connection to this incident on Feb. 20. He was charged with multiple counts of murder, manslaughter, assault, criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, among others.
