Xiaomi Redmi Note 14S launches with a familiar set of specs

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 14S, and it is selling in Central and Eastern Europe. It was introduced as a new device for Czechia and Ukraine, but in reality, it is the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G with a redesigned camera island.
The specs sheet is identical to the phone we reviewed over a year ago. There is a Helio G99 chipset, 6.67” AMOLED with 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution, and a 200 MP main camera on the back.
When Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G in early 2024, it had the already dated Android 13. This time the OS version is not even mentioned, raising a suspicion that even the software was not changed and HyperOS is indeed based on a two-year-old Android.
Xiaomi is offering Redmi Note 14S in Blue, Purple, and Black colors. The price in Ukraine is UAH 10,999, while in Czechia, it is CZK 5,999 – that’s about $260/€240 for 8/256 GB memory.
