EARTH Trailer Teases What’s Next as Noah Hawley Explains New Alien Threats — GeekTyrant

With the first two episodes of Alien: Earth now streaming on Disney+, fans are getting their first real taste of what Noah Hawley has cooked up for the latest entry in the legendary sci-fi horror franchise. To keep the adrenaline pumping, a brand new trailer just dropped teasing the terrifying road ahead.
Episode 2 ends on a nerve-racking cliffhanger as Wendy races to save her brother CJ from a monstrous Xeno. The new trailer confirms CJ makes it out alive and returns to Prodigy City, but danger is far from over.
Kirsh and his team of scientists begin examining a newly discovered alien species, which is definitely not going to end well. There’s already some strong suspicion around Kirsh’s true motives. Sure, he acts like he cares about the Hybrids, but his behavior is giving more Ash than Bishop.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hawley shared why he felt the need to evolve the threat of the Xenomorph by introducing new alien creatures into the mix.
“My job in reinventing these classic films is to figure out, what are the series of feelings that the original makes me feel? And then, how do I make you feel those same feelings? The reality is I cannot make you feel the life cycle of this creature for the first time again because you know it so well, this evolution that it’s really four monsters and one. And it’s a parasite. Every step of the way is worse than the last.”
“The only way to make you feel that terrible discovery is to add new creatures,” he added. “You don’t know how they reproduce or what they eat. So you get this dread that comes every time they’re on screen where you’re like, ‘I know something’s going to happen. I don’t know what it’s going to be.’ And then when it happens, it’s worse than you could have imagined.”
This approach keeps longtime fans on edge while inviting fresh horror into a world we thought we understood. It’s always nice to have the feeling of unknown dread.
