Vince Staples Lines Up North American Tour

Vince Staples has lined up a North American tour behind his new album Cry Baby. The rapper will be accompanied by a live band for the run of shows, which take place in October and November. For a preview of what’s in store, scroll down to watch a recording of Staples’ release-day concert at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre.
Staples dropped Cry Baby, his first full-length release for Loma Vista, at the beginning of the month. Three tracks from the album—“Blackberry Marmalade,” “White Flag,” and “Cotton”—received high-concept, politically charged music videos. The “Blackberry Marmalade” clip, filmed in the style of a first-person shooter, was quickly age-restricted on YouTube, prompting Staples to write on X, “if you are over the age of 18, make sure to share it with the youth around you. Our children deserve the truth.”
