Crown Heights killing discovered after bloodied man walks into NYPD precinct – NBC New York

A man was found stabbed to death inside a Brooklyn apartment after law enforcement sources said someone walked into a precinct overnight covered in blood to alert authorities to the killing.
The 3 a.m. precinct confession led officers to the Crown Heights home on Troy Avenue where they first saw bloody footprints, according to sources.
Once inside the first-floor apartment, sources said the officers found a male victim, 56, laying face up with stab wounds to his chest and arms. EMS came to the home and pronounced him dead around 3:30 a.m.
Law enforcement sources said a bloody kitchen knife and pair of scissors were recovered from the scene.
Police have so far made no arrests, the sources added. Investigators continued to question the 58-year-old man who walked into the 77th Precinct with bloody hands early Monday morning.
