The dog days of summer are here, but Barclays Center isn’t slowing down.
August is bringing an eclectic mix of events to the corner of Atlantic and Flatbush, with J. Cole, Kehlani, Asake, and Japanese pop duo YOASOBI all making their way to Brooklyn. And in between all those concerts, the New York Liberty will be holding it down at home with eight games on the schedule.
So if you’re looking for an excuse to head to Downtown Brooklyn before summer hits its unofficial end, there are plenty of them. From big-time concerts and international acts to some of the WNBA’s most exciting matchups, here’s everything going down at Barclays Center this month.

Concerts
After closing out July, Cole is kicking off August at Barclays Center with the second night of his highly anticipated The Fall-Off Tour, in support of what he’s said will be his last album.
Japanese pop duo YOASOBI are bringing their Never Ending Stories Tour to Brooklyn, giving stateside fans the chance to catch one of Japan’s biggest acts live.
August 15: Reggae Fest Presents Masicka
Dancehall and reggae heads should clear their calendars. On August 15, Masicka is set to headline Reggae Fest, delivering a performance that showcases his unique fusion of traditional Jamaican sounds and modern hip-hop vibes.
R&B sensation Kehlani is touching down in Brooklyn for THE KEHLANI WORLD TOUR: North America. With a stacked lineup featuring Durand Bernarr, TheARTI$T, and WASEEL, this is going to be a big night.
On August 26, Afrobeats heavyweight Asake brings his In God We Trust Tour to the borough. Accompanied by Uncle Waffles, the Nigerian superstar is set to deliver an unforgettable night celebrating the global reach of Afrobeats and dance music.

August 3: New York Liberty vs. Seattle Storm
The New York Liberty kick off their August home schedule by hosting the Seattle Storm. This opening game sets the stage for a packed month of hoops at Barclays, where the home team will take the court for eight games.
August 5: New York Liberty vs. Seattle Storm
In a quick turnaround, the Liberty and Storm return to the Barclays Center floor just 48 hours later.
August 9: New York Liberty vs. Las Vegas Aces
On August 9, in the middle of Legends Weekend, the Las Vegas Aces will descend one Brooklyn once again following their battle in June for the Commissioner’s Cup championship. The Aces will have a chance to redeem themselves after the Libs beat them for the title, while New York will look to add another win against one of their biggest rivals.
August 13: New York Liberty vs. Los Angeles Sparks
The Liberty’s busy August home schedule continues as the Los Angeles Sparks arrive at Barclays Center. As the season pushes toward its conclusion, this matchup represents another opportunity for the Libs to secure their standing in the postseason race. And this is Sneakerhead Night, so come out with heat.
August 22: New York Liberty vs. Indiana Fever
The Indiana Fever arrive in Downtown Brooklyn for a high-profile Saturday matinee against the Liberty. Given the Fever’s status as one of the WNBA’s most anticipated road shows, local fans should consider this weekend clash a must-see on their summer sports schedule.
August 27: New York Liberty vs. Golden State Valkyries
The Liberty’s home-court advantage continues as they host the Golden State Valkyries. This matchup offers another chance for Libs fans to witness the home squad live as the regular season enters its final high-stakes stretch.
August 29: New York Liberty vs. Chicago Sky
The Liberty close out August with a showdown against the Chicago Sky—a Thursday matinee, and one of the last opportunities to catch the home squad in action at Barclays before the schedule starts to wind down in September. This game is also West Indian Night at Barclays.
