Nine people were taken to hospitals after a single-vehicle collision on a busy highway in Rockland County on Monday.
Authorities responded to the scene on the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway near exit 11 in Ramapo after a report of the accident around 1:10 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, all nine people inside the Toyota Sienna involved in the crash were taken to hospitals. State Police said they had injuries of varying severity but didn’t elaborate.
A cause is under investigation, but it happened as heavy rains moved across parts of the tri-state area.
Video posted to The Monsey Scoop showed a large emergency response at the scene.
There were no details available on potential victims.
Traffic delays were expected in the southbound lanes as authorities investigated.
