It’s a love story, baby, and Taylor Swift just said yes.
Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on Tuesday after two years of dating, saying “your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
So, it’s gonna be forever.
From a friendship bracelet to an engagement ring, the romance between the 14-time Grammy winner and three-time Super Bowl champion began in July 2023. That was when Kelce attended Swift’s concert at Arrowhead Stadium, the home of his Kansas City Chiefs, and attempted to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his number on it.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Kelce said on the July 26 episode of his “New Heights” podcast. “So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
The courtship continued, with Kelce later inviting Swift to a Chiefs game. Swift attended her first Chiefs game of the season on Sept. 24, 2023, sitting in a luxury suite at Arrowhead Stadium with Kelce’s mother Donna. Swift and Kelce left the stadium together after the game in a convertible.
The following week, Swift attended Kelce’s game at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey against the New York Jets, bringing along an A-list entourage that included Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and others.
Swift attended 13 Chiefs games in 2023, capped with their 25-22 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl, after which she celebrated on the field with Kelce.

Kelce returned the favor throughout the season, first traveling to Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Argentina on Nov. 11, 2023, during the Chiefs’ bye week.
“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Swift sang, “coming straight home to me.”
Kelce made his on-stage debut in June 2024 while attending his seventh show of the tour, wearing a tuxedo and top hat as a backup performer at Wembley Stadium in London during Swift’s performance of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”
Broken hearts, and the lyrics that regularly followed, are no more for Swift — whose past boyfriends have included Joe Jonas, John Mayer, Harry Styles and others. She’s got a long list of ex lovers that could now end with a blank space.
“Alls well that ends well,” as Swift sings, “to end up with you.”
Swift and Kelce’s relationship continued to blossom during the 2024 season, as she continued attending Chiefs games, including the Chiefs’ Super Bowl defeat against the Eagles in February.
Swift made appearances beyond the sidelines, too. Earlier this month, she joined Travis and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast for a record-setting episode.
