Police have identified the 15-year-old boy shot to death on a Bronx street on Thursday morning as cops continue to search for the killers responsible.

According to police sources, Javits Frimpong was found by police just before 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 29 near the corner of East 171st Street and Crotona Place in Claremont with a single gunshot wound to his stomach after gunfire had erupted.

Officers from the 42nd Precinct who responded to the incident did not wait for EMS to arrive; instead, they quickly loaded him into their patrol car in a desperate effort to save his life.

They raced Frimpong to St. Barnabas Hospital, but he could not be saved and was pronounced dead.

ABC7 reported that the boy had been walking to school. However, police were unable to confirm the fact.

Meanwhile, law enforcement say they are looking for three teenaged suspects in connection with the shooting. They were last seen wearing all black wearing surgical masks running southbound into nearby Crotona Park.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA). You can also submit tips online at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, or on X (formerly Twitter) @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
