Jalen Brunson’s 29 points led the New York Knicks to a 112-95 win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night. It was the 13th consecutive victory for New York over Toronto and could serve as a preview of the Eastern Conference’s No.3-No.6 matchup next week in the NBA’s postseason. The Knicks’ victory improves their record to 53-28 on the 2025-26 campaign, while the Raptors slip to 45-36 on the season.
Karl Anthony-Towns secured yet another double-double behind 22 points and 10 rebounds to secure his league-leading 56th the season (in 75 appearances). Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic sits just behind Anthony-Towns with 55 double-doubles in 64 games (and perhaps even more impressively, 34 triple-doubles in that same time span.)
One injury worth monitoring will be guard OG Anunoby, who injured his ankle in the second quarter and did not return to the game. The 28-year-old power forward has been an important piece of the puzzle during the Knicks recent five game win streak. Anunoby has averaged 16.7 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.6 steals per game in 67 contests for New York this season.
New York’s 2025-26 campaign wraps up tomorrow night with a home date against the Charlotte Hornets at Madison Square Garden. The Hornets (43-38) have clinched a spot in the play-in round postseason, but will be seeking a win to maintain their 9th-seed in the Eastern Conference in front of the Miami Heat (42-39). The Knicks are locked into the third seed in the East independent of the result of Sunday night’s matchup at the Garden.
