‘Snowscape’ will turn Hudson Yards’ Edge into a winter wonderland with real snow

No matter the temperature in New York City, there will be snow. Hudson Yards next month will unveil “Snowscape,” a new experience that will make it snow at Edge, the city’s highest outdoor sky deck. Starting December 2, snow will fall at the observation deck from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Sundays, guests can pose with an installation of real snow and snowmen.

Snowscape will run from December 2 through 20 on Monday to Friday afternoon, with Sunday “Snow Days” planned for December 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 from opening until sunset. Snowscape is open to all Edge ticket holders.

“New York City has no shortage of enchanting holiday moments, but nothing is more magical than looking out over this iconic skyline as it is dusted by new-fallen snow,” Francesca Merlino, chief commercial officer of Hudson Yards Experiences, said.

“‘Snowscape’ at Edge gives New Yorkers and visitors alike the opportunity to make that picture-perfect, movie-magic snowfall part of their New York holiday experience.”

Other festive programming planned for the coming weeks include live music performances, including:

  • Celestial Jazz Nights: Hosted every Friday from November 29 through December 27 from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., Edge will become a vibey jazz lounge featuring live jazz bands. On November 29, December 20, and December 27, Evan Sherman will perform, and on December 6 and 13, Tony Glausi will perform. Cocktails and light bites will be available for purchase.
  • Saturday Singalongs: Every Saturday from November 30 to December 28 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Mozart for Munchkins will host interactive concerts, promising a wonderful time for the whole family.

Keep the party going during Edge’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration this year, featuring exclusive access to its outdoor viewing area, a premium open bar, curated bites, and live DJs from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets start at $400 and go on sale to the public on December 2.
