Yonkers’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade is celebrating its 68th anniversary, highlighting the strength and resilience of the Irish community in the neighborhood. This year’s grand marshal is Denis P. Mulcahy, who immigrated to the United States from County Cork, Ireland, in 1962. In 1975, he founded Project Children, an organization that helped more than 23,000 Catholic and Protestant children escape the violence of the Troubles during their summer holiday.
